Original German WWII Paratrooper/Officer/Artillery Y-Straps- Blackened leather construction Y-straps,consisting of two front straps and a short back strap with steel hardware. Both of the narrow front straps are roughly 23 inches long and are slightly tapered at the top and bottom A piece of leather stitched on the lower ends creating a "T", but also a leather “loop” is near the bottom to accommodate the auxiliary straps to be placed into when not being used. The front strap each have gray painted, pronged, steel buckle with an belt hook near the bottom with six length adjustment holes. Also near the “O” ring there are 2 rectangular rings, attached with leather, to attach a rucksack, tornister or A-Frame to it. The rectangular rings are slightly rusted. The roughly 12 inch long, ¾ inch wide back strap has a steel hook that is riveted to the leather. The steel hook has some rust on it due to storage. The back strap also has a RB Number on the natural side. The front straps and the back strap are all stitched around a steel “O” ring. The reverse of all the straps were not blackened but are natural tan leather that has some age. The middle of the reverse of the main straps each have a riveted auxiliary strap, which are approximately 10 inches long and ¾ inch wide. The rivets are slightly rusty.
