Rare original Meiji 10 = 1877 Japanese woodblock print and copper plate volume on the United States. Volume measures 7 X 10 inches (closed) and has 140 pages, including a 10 X 12 inch foldout color map of North and South America (removable), another map of the United States with Canada and Mexico, and 15 pages of fantastic copper plate etchings of Native Americans, trappers, hunters, wildlife, etc. A very well-printed volume for the age and probably one of the most complete and accurate descriptions of North America and the United States available to the Japanese during the early years of the Meiji Era. Original covers and title slip, contents complete and in great shape. GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC.
