Welcome to my auction! Please check out the other prints I have for sale this week. The Print : You are looking at a genuine Meiji era Japanese woodblock print by the famous artist Kunichika Toyohara (1835-1900). This particular print is dated Meiji 12 (1878) and is in very good condition. The print is entitled Aoigusa Matsu no Urazono, Keikiko Midaidokoro and is a portrait of the Shogun Yoshinobu Tokugawa's betrothed. The setting of the portrait is the inside of Edo castle w ladies-in-waiting bow, in greeting. This is a beautiful bijin (beautiful woman) print that would be an excellent addition to a collection or as a display piece in a home. Thank you for looking and happy bidding! Condition details are below . Details : The print is Oban sized, measuring about 9.5 " by 14 " ( 23 x 35.5cm ). The handmade paper is in excellent condition showing no holes, wormmage or creasing. The print is not backed, and the margins have been slightly trimmed. Colors are vibrant and details are very good. T is some slight toning of the paper due to age. Some minor marks and flaws. Overall very good condition. Please inspect my many photos below. Thank you for looking and happy bidding! About Me : For several years I lived in Japan , and during that time took an interest in Japanese woodblock prints ( Ukiyoe ). Now that I am back in America I am selling some of my overly large collection and keeping only my favorite prints. All of my prints are authentic, purchased in Japan . All auctions start at a low $9.99 regardless of true value. I am not an official store, but am trying hard to maintain perfect satisfaction with my customers. Please look at my feedback and bid with confidence. I will happily answer any questions. Thanks for looking, and happy bidding! NittyGritty: Buyer pays for shipping. My US domestic shipping is cheaper than most print sellers on Ebay. I dislike sellers who skim extra profit off of "shipping costs". International Bidders are Welcome! Shipping prices for the U.S. are $5.00, one of the lowest prices on Ebay. Insurance is optional and must be requested post auction (I will send an invoice). NOTE: International Winners pay for registered mail. Shipping for European countries is $18.00. Not from Europe? Please contact for exact shipping $$$. I accept Paypal, Money Orders, Personal Checks (must clear the bank before shipping of the item.)
