Jennie Harbour Original Colour Plate/Print from My Book of Favouite Fairy Tales Circa 1921 By Raphael Tuck & Sons You are viewing a wonderful colour plate/print, by the enigmatic Deco artist, Jennie Harbour; taken from the actual book entitled 'My Book of Favourite Fairy Tales', published in 1921 by Raphael Tuck & Sons, London. Sadly, the book from which they came is no longer salvageable. This is not a contemporary Giclee copy, but an origial, 81 year old plate, in fine condition. The only issues are some smudging to the white surround, from children's fingers. In my opinion, this is minimal and does not detract in any way from the colour plate. All this would be covered if the plate is framed. Other than that mentioned, there is no marring, staining or tears. The plate measures 7" X 9" in total and the picture itself measures 5 1/2" X 7". In the right corner, to the picture itself is the name HARBOUR. To the left corner of the surround is, 'Painted by Jennie Harbour'. To the center below the picture is the title, 'Little Red Riding Hood'. For those of you who appreciate authenticity, this, and the other plates I am auctioning today are a must to have.
