Rare Orig Kestner Bisque Lady Doll 162 Compo Body NR!

Slender Waist Molded Breasts Orig Wig & Pate Gorgeous!

Offered is an 18" Kestner with shapely adult body, circa 1900. Her bisque socket head is incised D. made in germany 8 162. Her blond mohair wig is in an upswept lady style. It is a bit dusty and has some wear to the netted cap, still displays beautifully. Her plaster pate is glued inside. She has a beautiful complexion with high facial coloring. Her brows are featd, her blue glass sleep eyes have painted upper and lower lashes with black liner above. T are orange accents at the inside corners of her eyes and at her nostrils. Her cheeks are beautifully blushed. She has an open mouth with four porcelain teeth, her orange lips have deep accents around the edge's, t is a wee firing flaw at the right corner of her mouth, very hard to see. This is very common and does not detract from this beautiful doll. She has a dimple in her chin. T are no chips, cracks or hairlines to her bisque, t is a wee paint flake from w her wig was glued on the back right side of her head. I say this for accuracy only as no one will ever see this with her wig on. Her body has the original finish with red stamp Germany 2 . It is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knee's. Her fingernails and toes are red lined, she still has blush on the tops of her hands! She has a slender waist with molded breasts. Her clothing is in layers, it is antique and gorgeous. Her dress fits tailor made and possibly original. It is a white cotton with verticle pleated bodice, high neck, embroidered flowers and trim with a blue ribbon sash and decorative gold tone flower. She has two slips, a long undershirt and pantalets. All have beautiful embroidery and lace trim. Her white leather shoes and knit socks are replacement's. I found two pin head holes on her dress and one on her under garment, thats it! Her clothing is crisp and has never been laundered, in my opinion does not need to be, her dress has a slight patina from age, all are clean smelling with hook and eye closures. She is a Fabulous Kestner 162 not often seen. She is in Excellent condition and would be a highlight in any collection. She has NO RESERVE!
