This auction offers you the opportunity to bid on a very cool old antique wardrobe armoire or closet that dates to the 1800's. Have a look at the grain painted tiger stripe panels on the doors. Grain painting was done quite masterfully in the 1800's as this wardrobe shows. If you did not look on the inside of the panel, you would swear it was an oak panel from the front. It is a huge old cabinet that stand 78" high and is 43.5" wide by 16.5" in depth from front to back. Nice base with 2 drawers below the closet space above.Both drawers are joined with dove tail joints and open and close smoothly. It has a groove fitted vertical stacked panel back. Perfect for someone who has high ceilings and is lacking closet space. You could also convert it into an entertainment cabinet rather easily. It has the natural aged finish on it with scars and marks from use. The right side panel has a split that can be easily glue back in place if you like and t are some splits on the back panel.Overall condition is very good. It has the old victorian wood escutcheons on the keyholes. It will be selling with an opening bid of $5 as do almost all of our auctions, with no reserve price set. Any bid can win!
