Vintage, Rare, FORT PITT two story BLOCKHOUSE and low-walled STOCKADE, brown Hard Plastic (HP), SOME DAMAGE, Louis Marx Toy Company, U.S.A.. No figures or accessories, MISSING DOORS from damaged Stockade Gate. Those of you fellow Marx Collectors know, that the single rarest piece here is the Blockhouse Front with the FORT PITT Lettering. This piece is complete and unbroken with a couple of light scratches on the Fort Pitt Sign, it is a lighter brown than the rest of it. I have little doubt that this stuff all came from one set, as it all came from one source, and is a rare combination of stuff. The Blockhouse sides each have a small chip out of them at the top - which is not seen when the Blockhouse is assembled. One side has two minor paint spots on it. The Floor is missing 4 of the log posts. The Roof and Coppola are EXC. It assembles and holds together quite well. This Blockhouse was used in a number of Play Sets with different Lettering or No Lettering, so parts are not impossible to find... OTHER THAN THE FORT PITT FRONT. The low-wall Stockade was used originally in the Marx Jungle Play Sets, and a few other sets. It is hard to find, but not impossible. It is darker than the Blockhouse, which was normal.
