Offered at auction from the Florida Estate of a Collector of Vintage Male Nude Photography from the Early 1900 - 1950 Period, is this awesome ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH or PROOF of TWO NUDE MALES who were part of a group of five men who posed for a series of other photos in this Estate Collection. These ORIGINAL PHOTOS were taken at the Beach in FIRE ISLAND in the Early 1940s !!!! What a Rare and Hard-To-Find Photo! ** T are a Series of Different Poses in Other Photos of this Same Group and some in the Group Individually, that will be offered in Future Auctions. ( Previously, Photo # 1 and Photo # 33 of the same members of this Group were Offered and Sold on Ebay from this Estate Collection). What is so unusual about this photograph is it represents EARLY FULLY NUDE POSES. Notes from the late collector, indicate he believed this photo could possibly have been taken in the Late 1930's or Very Early 1940's. **** THIS PHOTO IS A COMPANION PHOTO to the NEXT PHOTO OFFERED FOR SALE # 39. That Photo has TWO DIFFERENT MEMBERS of this FIRE ISLAND GROUP. When Photo # 38 and Photo # 39 are Displayed side by side the MEN FACE EACH OTHER as if they are about to Start a TUG-OF-WAR *** EACH PHOTO IS BEING OFFERED SEPARATELY !!! No one in the Group nor the Photographer is Identified anyw on the photo. It is worth noting that this is part of an estate collection that belonged to a collector who was close friends with some photographers who were contemporaries of, and who knew, Bob Mizer ( AMG Photo Guild) in California. Many of these photographs were taken in the 1940's and 1950's of amateur bodybuilders who were earning part-time incomes as beefcake models. What makes this particular collection interesting is that it contains many fully nude model poses WITHOUT fig leaf or posing strap, at a time when that was rarely done. Additionally, what is especially nice about this VINTAGE ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH is its SIZE ! It MEASURES 8" x 10" !! It is also on Nice Thicker Photographic Paper, so could easily be Framed. CONDITION: This MATTE FINISH PHOTO is in GREAT VINTAGE CONDITION. This Photo likely could be a Photographer's Proof , or the first image captured by the camera. T is One Very Slight and Barely Detectable Shiny Spot on the Model to the Right's Knee. Additionally, t is a Very Subtle and Hardly Noticeable Scuff Mark Near the Lower Left Corner of the Photo. This Measures Only 3/8" and is very well hidden by the Grasses in the Photo. I detect No Creases, No Other Spots, No Pencil Marks, No Pen or Ink Marks, No Pin Holes, No Stains, No Tears, No Repairs.
