I am offering a pair of vintage Lionel Double A unit Santa Fe #2343 EMD F-3 diesel locomotive. The set consist of a dual motor powered #2343 unit with Magna Traction, plus a #2343 dummy unit. I am the original owner of this item. It was operated once a year during the Christmas Holidays, then packed up and stored until the next holiday season. The locomotive is in good cosmetic condition. However since it was at that time considered to be a toy to play with, it has some cosmetic flaws. These would be a few spots or areas that the paint has been chipped or scratched. Their are no broken parts that I detected. The horns and ladders are intact as is the roof screening vents. Each unit is missing some port hole plastic windows. The nose decal on the powered unit is good. The dummy units decal has a missing section just below the headlight. As for the locomotives operation. Due to many years of storage, the second motor operated intermediately. Some times I pressed a wire leading to the second motor and it would kick in for a moment, then lose power. The first motor is operating strongly, and drags the unit along with the second motor not operating. The E unit is operational. It should not be hard to determine the cause of this problem.
