Incredible 19th Century 8-Panel, 11 1/2 x 5 inches, Color Lithographed Factory Trade Piece for the Silsby Manufacturing Company - Manufactures Exclusively Rotary Steam Fire Engines, Hose Carriages, Hose & Fire Department Supplies, Seneca Falls, New York Just take a look at the photographs of this 8-panel orignial advertising piece! When folded, the front panel features a Horse-drawn Fire Engine under full steam (This was once mounted in a scrap book, so t is some loss to this panel only) The back panel features a color image of the factory building. Open it once and two wonderful color lithos of Steam Fire Engines appear, open these two panels and an impressive color image of a Silsby Fire Engine Steamer is providing water to firefighters battling two large structure fires. Flanking this image are two color images of Silsby Hose Carts ready for service. This advertising piece was printed by Clay, Cosack & Co., Buffalo, New York. Their imprint appears on the front panel. Fully open this piece measures 11 1/2 x 5 inches. Aside from the loss of some paper, mentioned above, t is a small, 1/2" fold separation on the left hand side of the card when opened - Otherwise it is in Fine condition with lt age toning.
