Today I will be listing a group of items connected to Manchuria, its conquest & subsequent occupation, and the beginnings of the Second Sino-Japanese War - all from the house of a soldier named NAKAMURA HIKOZO. This next item is his rare SENNINBARI or thousand stitch belt dated October 18, Showa 12 (1937) - the outbreak of the Second Sino-Japanese War! Belt measures 7 X 44 inches (not including the ties) and has the kanji TORA stitched in the center with several seals. On the left is the date, October, 18, 1937. This was the date the belt was given to Mr. Nakamura who, earlier in his military career, had been involved in the creation of the Puppet State of Manchukuo and went on to participate in later battles such as the Battle of Wuhan against Chiang Kai Shek (see Nakamura's signed flag in my next lot). This belt was worn by Mr. Nakamura during these early Sino-Japanese War conflicts. Nice shape, very historic, and GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC.
