THIS IS AN AUCTION FOR AN ORIGINAL WWI ERA MEDICAL FIRST AID AMBULANCE CORPS POUCH BAG ROLL TO HOLD MEDICINES, BANDAGES, SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS, ETC... ****NO RESERVE****
DESCRIPTION: This OIL CLOTH Khaki green canvas pouch, trimmed in tan oil cloth, is still in very good pliable condition. NO rips or tears in cloth, some surface staining/dirt, etc.... No markings. When opened, it measures 20" long X 8.5" wide(not including wing flaps). Outside has one snapped pocket. Inside has one large snapped divided pocket, a large storage sleeve(found the cloth arm sling in t Many sized sewn pockets to hold pill bottles, surgical instruments, bandages, creams, Iodine, etc... Contents found within are(and included): Khaki green cloth arm sling (26" X 26") near mint; personal effects bag(white) 14" X 12"-one small hole and red-brown staining; Sm flannel white bag 5.5" X 3"; Glass bottle with name "whitehurst" molded on it 3 3/8" tall X 1 5/8" wide; silver color tweezers 4.5" long; silver color metal scalpel 6" long; Orig glass vile of Iodine swab made by B & B, 3" long, appears unbroken, w/cellophane bag. When folded, size is 8.5" long X 6" wide X 2.5" thick. Has cloth tie for waist and cloth end carry handle. Excellent for display in a Museum, Library, personal collection.
