An Original No 150 "Candlestick" Phone Stamped PL'29 and 234, With Original Bell Box, in Untouched Condition. I bought this phone from a theatrical company some years ago. It has been used as a stage prop and is absolutely right for the period. Apart from a good clean to remove make-up and general grime, nothing has been done to it. It has the correct Dial No. 10 and it's No. 1A Walnut Bell Box. The original chord twist wiring is present and goes from the phone to the Bell Box. The wiring to the receiver is slightly frayed where it meets the receiver. The correct and original dial displays - In Case of Emergency Dial "0". For Other Information See Telephone Directory. The Telephone No. is Helmsley 338. This is I believe in Yorkshire. This phone has it's original finish and NOT been painted, mucked about with, altered or made up from other bits. The Bell Box is complete and has a nice age patina, slight scratch to the door but otherwise in a lovely original state. I have polished this regularly with a good Bees Wax polish. The two bells are un-polished and retain their age patina. The paper wiring diagram is mostly removed as can be seen from the photo, but not a great loss. I am sure one could be copied from somewhere if desired. The dial returns but is sticky and gets stuck at 9. It is probably just in need of adjustment.
