Original 1864 Civil War Military Letter - 8th Tennessee Cavalry - No Reserve This is a nice, original 1864 dated letter concerning official US Army business. 8" x 10" letter is embossed in the upper L/H corner with " Congress - Carew. Co. ". It is a striking, displayable letter and reads: Office Post Quartermaster Kingston Tenn Feby 29, 1864 Geo. H. Larvill, Esq Upon receipt of this order you will at once proceed from Pittsburgh, Pa. to this point via Cincinnati, Louisville, Nashville and Chattanooga and forward for me what quartermasters stores you have with you for MO.
