At auction is this excellent condition original Buzza Motto Print, PLAYING THE GAME, by J.B. Downie, dated 1927. It comes mounted in the original blue painted frame, and even has the original hanging clasp. It measures approximately 8 inches by 11 inches. This classic motto reads:
We can't all play a winning game
Someone is sure to lose.
Yet we can play, so that our name,
No one may dare accuse.
That when the Master Referee,
Scores against our name,
It won't be whether we've won or lost,
But how we played the game.
The background is of a sailing ship on the ocean. All original, all antique 1927, and all in fantastic shape with only the slightest wear to the blue paint on the frame - you can't go wrong with this Buzza Motto Print and frame.
