Welcome to my auction for a 1941 Squeeze Soda sign. The graphic of the boy and girl "squeezed" together on the bench beneath the full moon is perhaps one of the cutest soda logos ever. So much so that this is the only soda sign my wife approved for display in our kitchen! Condition is "good" to "very good." It measures 9 3/4" x 28," with a pea size hole in each corner for mounting. Because this sign is made of such thin metal, I had it custom framed in a cool black metal frame (no glass), which helps protect and smooth out the sign. Add about 1/2" to the measurements for the frame. Unfortunatley, the frame prevents me from showing the back side of the sign. The photos show the many crinkles or wrinkles throughout the sign, caused by the thin nature of the metal and nearly 70 years of use. The colors are vibrant and the sign retains its shine. Please note the paint loss and rust above the "U" in "SQUEEZE," and the "ED" in "CARBONATED," as well as a few other rub marks and scratches, including a thin scratch that runs through the image of the boy and girl. The words "DRINK," "SQUEEZE," and "CARBONATED BEVERAGE," as well as the boy, girl, and bench are embossed. Printed in the lower right corner is " LITHO BY J.V. REED & CO., LOUISVILLE KY USA- S41" All original, no touch up, no flaking or peeling, and has not been trimmed. This sign displays very well. Thanks for looking!
