This offering is for an original early 1940's WWII era MI Helmet Liner. The liner is marked in the crown with a W and an Oval inside a Circle that I believe indicates Westinghouse as the maker. The liner has it's original white painted surface and a decal on the front that reads "POLICE"above the CD inside a Triangle for Civil Defense. Below that reads "LEACHVILLE ARK". The decal has very wear, chipping and losses but for the most part it's intact and firmly attached. The white paint is very nice with minor chipping and loss around a couple of the rivet heads and the base edge as should be expected. The liner features a front grommet hole and it's original herringbone twill webbing suspension in fairly nice condition but having oxidized A washers, one of which is missing. The leather sweatband has come loose and and is in rough condition, I would say it needs to be replaced. The nape strap and webbing are also in need of being replaced. The leather chin strap is missing. The condition of the shell itself is excellent with normal light wear but no cracks, breaks or repairs. The buyer will pay a fixed amount of $ 10.00 for Priority Mail and we will include delivery confirmation, tracking, at no additional cost.International Buyers - Please Note:Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. read more
