This is a gorgeous, large, original, Danish Modern teak dining table of beautiful design and quality and amazingly beautiful grain patterns. It will date to the late 50's or early 60's and is in excellent condition with normal wear for its age. It is a full 48" round table with a curved skirting and four tapered pole style legs. T are two large original leaves which are 20" wide and match the main table perfectly in color and grain, you can expand the table to be a 68" long or 88" long table depending on number of guests. The table expands easily on solid birch runners underneath and leaves slot in very easily, are tight in the recesses and the whole table top is flat and level. The entire edge of the table is finished with a thick solid teak banding. This table in unmarked but judging by the high quality is most likely a Denmark table although it does not really matter as this table is super quality. Construction is fine teak veneers over a solid wood core, t is NO particle board in this table. The underneath is fully finished and is extremely clean. The skirting is beautifully curved over solid wood. Those lovely tapered pole legs sit in notched areas under the skirting and large bolts go through the legs and into metal screw insertd in the table for a very tight fit and no wobbles.
