For sale I am offering this original 1986 Weird Balls character named 'Shrink Head' from The Mel Appel Company (TMAC). A blatant knock-off of the short-lived but long-inspired MadBalls toys, this character seems to be made maybe a little more cheaply than the MadBalls, but makes up for it with a kind of cool creepy vibe that is inspired in its' own way. Frankly, I can't tell if it is supposed to be rotting flesh on a red-eyed skull, or a strange kind of Ambrose Burnsides hairstyle on red-eyed skull, either way, it owns it. Dear Shrink Head is made of foam, and his condition, factoring in the cheaply-made factor, is darn-near mint. The unfortunate thing with the material, is that lots of air-pockets formed somewhere in the manufacturing process, and though this thing looks unplayed with, a large bubble burst right on the tip of his skull-nose. There is another smaller bubble just above his inner left eye and one more above and behind the same eye. I think the decayed-nature of the sculpt makes these flaws not entirely bad, but I'm guessing they weren't intentional. There is also a pretty noticeable seam running along the middle of the ball. In separate auctions I am also selling 'Screamin Meemie' and 'Slobulus' from the original 1985 Madballs series 1, and a 'Slobulus' head from the head-popping Madballs. I gladly combine shipping, read more
