THIS IS NOT A COPY, BUT THE ORIGINAL 8 x 10 PHOTO of ELLA FITZGERALD. I believe it IS a sepia tone print, as it does have the brown-sepia tint to it. On the back of the print in the lower right hand corner, stamped in red is the date "AUG 24 1949". It actually has 2 stamps, one did not show all of "AUG", so they re-stamped it. At the opposite end written in pencil is the number "16". On the lower left hand corner the photo does have a bent corner and the immulsion cracked w it was bent. The upper left hand area has a slight crease but not noticeable unless you view it a slight angle; but the rest of the photo is in very good condition for it being 58 years old. The original folder that it is in is 91/2 x 11. The front of the folder, in COLOR, has a design that says "bop city" and "the city of the future broadway at 49th st., new york". The back says "Souvenir Photo $1.50 in the center and at the bottom right hand side it says:''For extra copies write to: bop city 1619 Broadway New York 19, New York - Use Number on back of Print Stating date taken and name of Club along with description of Photo." The folder shows some "mold/mildew" appearance, slightly frayed and bent corners, but again not bad for the age of it. I obtained this photo on a trip to New York City when I was only 19 years old and I visited the club w she was singing.
