This is a chance to get an original rare "C" pose (both hands showing) of President Abraham Lincoln from the 1860's. The photo is in good condition for its age with some minor foxing around the edges. It appears that the CDV has been cut and crookedly at the bottom because the dark line bordering the picture does not appear at the bottom. I have pictures of the front and the back of the this CDV so please check them out. The back states "Published by E & HT Anthony 501 Broadway New York. From Photographic Negative in Brady's National Portrait Gallery". The back also has the words Abraham Lincoln written in script in ink and I am assuming that it is a signature but something that was added later (I am no expert on Lincoln signatures, maybe you are). T is a lighter rectangle on the back of this CDV which appears to have been a stamp long removed, at least that is the shape of the area. This is the way that I acquired the photo from an estate auction of a local photographer. This is a great chance to add a good original Lincoln photo to your historic collection. I am also listing an original CDV of Major-General Sheridan and Lieut-General U.S. Grant so do check my other auctions as I will combine shipping costs. T is a flat rate of $5.00 shipping cost which will include insurance for the full bid amount. I consider bids as a contract, so please do not bid unless you intend to honor it. All items are as found condition and pictures are provided. If you would like more pictures or details please contact me prior to bidding and I will try to answer as quickly as possible. I may be unable to answer questions if asked within a few hours of the auction close so please ask early. I will refund your bid amount only (shipping cost is never refundable) if I we both agree that an item was misrepresented as to condition as this is a judgment call on my end and judgements do not always agree. I provide pictures and try to describe all areas of damage that I see. If you have any questions or concerns before the auction ends or after it is over please contact me and I will try to answer and or address them. Please US bidders only as I do not ship outside the United States. This photo is o-49 and was taken February 24, 1961. Sorry that date was February 24, 1861.
