Original Lithograph From Les Maitres De L'Affiche By Albert Guillaume.Plate 163 " Armour & Co.", April 1899. Dimensions: 10 3/4" x 15 1/2" Condition: Very good, 1 small tear on the bottom of left margin ( see picture ). The left margin has been trimmed a bit as this plate was part of the yearly folio. The folio was a bound book containing all of the monthly installments plus the bonus plates throughout the year in a book. At the time you could subscribe to the monthly installments or order the complete yearly folio. There are some remains of the paper that was used to attach this plate to the folio on the left end side. This in no way takes away from the quality or value of the plate.Les Maitres De L'Affiche ( Masters Of The Poster ) prints are a series of 256 color lithographs published in Paris during The Belle Epoque. This collection is one of the most prestigious and influential art publications in history. It was published by Chaix Imprimerie when Jules Cheret was the artistic director. The prints were sold in a package of four and delivered to subscribers during the selling period of December 1895 through November of 1900. On 16 occasions the monthly wrapper also contained a bonus plate. Altogether, 97 artists were represented in Les Maitres De L'Affiche.
