Original Roman soldiers legionary Sun God Sol Invicto ring Dated to 400AD. measuring 18mm. inside diameter equivalent to US size 8Original green-brown patina. Absolutely genuine and intact. In top condition. Authenticity guaranteed. The bezel of this ring is decorated with star cross, early Christina symbol.Small lines surrounding it are olive branches or palm leaves symbols commonly to represent brotherhood. Ring is in good condition and a Very Rare Inclusion to the very finest Antiquity Collection. In ancient times sincebanks did not exist, Soldiers would bury their coins and jewelry before going into battle, and many of them did not return. They were also buried to avoid tax collectors and thieves. In ancient times, a ring distinguished an individual in a way that other forms of jewelry did not. Finger rings represented the language of social code, and connoted one’s social standing. Under the Empire, the finger ring was still considered a privilege, conferred for military distinction.
