an292 Original Roman Christian soldiers battle ring Dated to 400AD. measuring 18-20mm. inside diameter equivalent to US size 9. 3.71gm. Original green patina. Absolutely genuine and intact. In original state. Authenticity guaranteed. The bezel of this ring is decorated with X star cross, early Christina symbol.Small lines surrounding the cross are olive branches or palm leaves symbols commonly to represent brotherhood. This symbol was used for sun worship, the German tribes used a similar sign(actually a RUNE) for Son worship particularly the Goths. Ring is in good condition and a Very Rare I nclusion to the very finest Antiquity Collection. In ancient times sincebanks did not exist, Soldiers would bury their coins and jewelry before going into battle, and many of them did not return. They were also buried to avoid tax collectors and thieves. In ancient times, a ring distinguished an individual in a way that other forms of jewelry did not.
