This is a unique original oil by Andrew Loomis, probably from around 1930, before he did the paintings for the Saturday Evening Post and the books that made him famous. Copies of those books in good condition are on EBay for $150 - this is your chance to own one of his original works. The articles I have read about Loomis say that all his early commercial work has been lost - this could be the only remaining piece! The art is of a smiling man holding a glass of lemonade - the text reads: Try this morning pickupFresh juice of one lemon in water Clears the taste wakes up mind and body.Sunkist LemonsThis oil painting was in a garage in San Bernardino for decades, and has some crumple damage from when it was dismounted from it's frame - it is also dusty and needs cleaning and restoration to look the way it did when painted. The canvas measures 20 x 36 inches, painted portion is about 16 x 33. This is a fragile item, and has some damage - sold as is.You may pick it up in Manhattan Beach, CA, or I will ship, but I will not pack it myself because I don't want it damaged. I have found a professional packer locally who will pack it for $50.00, or I will deliver this painting to a professional shipper of your choice in the Los Angeles area for $50.00. It is old, fragile, and unique, so I don't want to damage it further by an amateur packing
