Original Antique Map ITALY 1831 Giuseppe Mazzini Sardinia Sicily Tuscany Rome

Original antique engraved map of Italy at the time of Giuseppe Mazzini's first efforts to create a united Italian republic, printed more than 175 years ago.
This handsome map is titled Italien mit der Dalmat-Albanesischen Küste 1831 . It was drawn by Rohde and published in Meyer's Universal-Atlas , Hildburghausen, Thuringia. The image area measures 19 x 23 cm [7-1/2" x 9"]. The scans below give a closer look:
The map is handsomely colored in outline and is finely detailed, with topography shown in relief. There are three insets: Rome, Naples, and Malta. The geographical boundaries reflect the political landscape at the time, with the Kingdom of Lombardy-Venetia still part of Austria, Naples part of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, and Turin the capital of the Kingdom of Sardinia.
Condition: The map is in excellent condition , bright and clean, with some very faint spotting in the lower margin, outside of the image area. There are no rips or tears, and it is blank on the back, with no printing on the reverse side.
It is an original , authentic antique map, not a reproduction or modern reprint, and it is fully guaranteed to be genuine. It would look wonderful matted and framed, and it would make an impressive display in your den or office.
