ORIGINAL ANTIQUE WATERCOLOR RICHARD C. HARE ExcellentSigned painting Farm House Silo and Barn Estate Find Original Watercolor Farm Scene under a Summer Dusky Sky. Colors are Bright. Very Beautiful Painting. Signed Richard Clark Hare in Bottom Right Corner. (American, 1906-1969) Richard Clarke Hare was a painter best known for his watercolor scenes of the Massachusetts seashore and Upstate New York. (American, 1906-1969) In the 1930s, he was part of the Provincetown, Massachusetts art scene. He was from a family of artists. His brother, John Hare, was a painter, as was his uncle Knowles Hare, a famous engraver. One of the locations that Richard Hare enjoyed painting was Lake Ozonia, a small lake in the Adirondacks, w he first visited in the 1920s. Click for full size image.
