NO RESERVE! ORIGINAL ART 1956 DICK'S ADVENTURES SUNDAY COMIC STRIP PAGE BY NEIL O'KEEFFE !!!! Offered is a very nice and ***VERY RARE*** original art by the great NEIL O'KEEFFE for the DICK'S ADVENTURES IN DREAMLAND Sunday newspaper comic strip page from August 19, 1956. This strip was syndicated by King Features Syndicate, Inc. This episode features modern day Dick dreaming that he is back in days of the American Revolution, with Col. This episode is from just two months before the strip ended. I think NEIL O'KEEFFE's art really improved with his age. The later strips are much better drawn and inked than the earlier ones and way better than his early work on the Book-of-the-Month illustrations he did in the 1940s for King Features. The inking here is just pure genius! (As good as any of the great French comic artists; Paul Gillon and Hermann come to mind for me.) The art image area of this VERY LARGE piece measures approximately 25" x 12-1/8" and was drawn with black ink on bristol board. This over 5 read more
