Rare example of an original Autotype lithograph titled 'Birds Nest' with Classically dressed lady in a walled garden holding a bird's nest, by Victorian artist Henry Ryland. � Published by The Autotype Company, London, 1889. Frame size: � height 66cm, width 43cm Picture size: height 36.5cm, width 16cm Plate size: 45cm height, 23cm width Henry Ryland Biography: Born 1856 in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, Great Britain 1880–1890 created illustrations for English Illustrated Magazine and designed the cover for The Quiver magazine Royal College of Art in Great Britain L'Académie Julian under Boulanger and Lefebvre studied under Ferdinand Cormon and Benjamin-Constant while in Paris 1924 Died November 23, 1924 London In original reeded oak frame. Glazed, with thin cedar backing board nailed in place. � Condition of the print is very good. No holes or tears. Some spotting. Faint darker band across middle of print from the wooden backing board. � Overall condition of the frame is good. A crack in the gold coloured band in the top right hand corner. A little old wall paint in the ridges. One small chip on the front. � There was a sheet of brown paper covering the back but it was so fragile and torn I removed it. � Glass has a few scratches but is otherwise fine. � See photos. � Print can be posted for free without the frame if read more
