This is a very rare 100 percent Original US WWII Case Stiletto with correct Case leather scabbard. This knife is very rare and extremely desirable. This one shows very little use and no abuse. It is not marked on the ricasso, however make no mistake this is a WWII Case Stiletto. Has a 6 13/16" double edged blade. Very rarely found Parkerized finish with 95 percent remaining. The parkerized version is much rarer then the more common bright blades you normaly find on Ebay. The blade shows no signs of re-sharpening. The guard on this Case Stiletto is curved and reamins tight, some later versions had straight guards. The leather washer grip is tight and in very good condition, with the black plastic pommel with a metal cap, as is correct for this knife. The scabbard is the correct Case type as issued with this knife. As mentioned above, the Case Stiletto came with a curved or a straight guard. However, Case only had one type of scabbard for this knife. As you can see it is straight at the throat. Note especially the wear to the leather from this curved guard showing this scabbard has been with this knife since new. The scabbard is unmarked as is correct. The leather is excellent with a cut to the belt slip and a fully functional keeper strap. Many of these were used by US Marines, Army Paratroopers and other elite troops. These are really rare. See the photos of this knife on page 98 in Mike Silvey's great book on US WWII knives. The scabbard and the knife are identical to the pictured version. T is light rust at the guard, but still an overall excellent example. Collectors grade example. Do not miss this one. Please see Pictures. E-mail me with any questions before bidding.
