All the listed letters came from the estate of Reuben Norton. Some of the letter are written by him or to him. Some are written by his brothers, who were also in the war. Some talk about the life as a soldier, camp, battles,Black Americans in the war, etc.I will explain each letter .This letter is from Dr Franklin stating that Reuben Norton was not fit for duty and should be released to recuperate.
