This is a Confederate CDV image of Robert E. Lee. It measures 4" x 2 1/2" and has name in script at the bottom of the photograph. The back has a printed shield with the following on ribbon below PUBLISHED BY THE NEW YORK PHOTOGRAPHIC CO NO 453 BROADWAY NEW YORK. It has been personalized on the back in pencil and reads To my (cant read) with compliments of John Fallwood Apr 24. 1864. Also in pencil is 22.00 which has not been removed for fear of compromising the photo. Pictures below reflect the condition. This is an authentic and original piece. I will be listing many military items over the next few weeks, all coming from the estate of a long-time N.C collector.
