Here we have my old original 1968 - 1972 first issue Corgi 266 Chittty Chitty Bang Bang car that has been in one of my drawers for years and years so it is about time that someone actually derived some pleasure from it. It has parts missing and is not perfect, as you will see from the description and photographs, but it is still a very charming item that is, in my opinion, far too good to scrap. I have listed it as spares or repairs but in all honesty, I don't see that anyone would prefer to break it up, rather than restore it. Anyway, I have listed the good and bad points below and have included many photographs but please bear in mind that my pictures are quite large and close-up so any small imperfections are greatly magnified. Please also ignore any light reflections:- GOOD POINTS. Wheels, tyres & axles all good. Base plate & all rivets are very good Spare tyre present. Side wings present & operate well (small amount of paint missing to drivers-side). All lights intact and all jewels present. Number plates present & very good. Bonnet silvering very good with just a few minor marks. Bonnet strap present. Paintwork generally very good & any chips mentioned below. Serpent horn present. BAD POINTS. People missing. Front & rear wings missing. Top of windscreen frame cracked through but would repair easily enough. A read more
