ORIGINAL hand signed autograph of Easy Company Commander Dick Winters This autograph also comes with his famous wartime photo taken in Holland in October 1944 during Operation Market Garden. Major Richard D. Winters was one of the most widely respected and admired field commanders to serve in the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment during WWII. This is an ORIGINAL hand autographed signature of Dick Winters with his famous words "Hang Tough" in black sharpie on a white index card. is a wonderful opportunity to obtain a rare authentic original autograph of the battlefield commander of Easy Company, who led his men with distinction from Normandy through the end of the war. Lt. Winters jumped into the flak filled skies over Normandy, France on June 6, 1944 w he assumed command of Easy Company in the days that followed. He led his men with determination and guts and was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for knocking out a key 105 mm Artillery emplacement that was hammering the Allied beach landings. He led his men through pitched battles and held heavily contested front lines in Carentan, Bastone and the Battle of the Bulge.
