Up for auction here you are bidding on the original Dudley Moore as Arthur waxwork from the Movieland wax museum in California. This Waxwork was once a star exhibit in California at the world famous movieland wax museum. It has been seen by millions over the last 24 years and one of the world's most famous waxworks. It was also made by Logan Fleming the famous Hollywood wax artist who's work is very rare & sought after. This was made for the release of Arthur in 1981, and was revealed by Dudley Moore at the Movieland wax museum as photographed above. The waxwork was featured on all the Movieland brochures, leaflets and advertising and the winning bidder shall receive examples of all the brochures & postcards etc from the Movieland wax museum. The waxwork was on display from 1981 from Arthurs release until the museums closure in 2005. It was seen by all the visitors to the museum over 24 years. This waxwork has been in California for over 20 years and was only recently shipped over here by myself at the cost of $8,000 We were approached by an auction house in America who were desperate to sell the waxwork on our behalf. We wanted to keep the waxwork at that particular time and the auction house then offered to sell the top hat on the waxwork which we agreed to and in the end it sold for $22,500+ 20% buyers premium.
