If you are an antique clock collector and a purist at that, then this is your clock. The case finish, hands, dial (with a few age spots), brass eight-day movement and lower door glass reverse painting with gold leaf---are all original and in good condition. The brass movement is of the earlier (smaller) size and is stamped with the E. Ingraham Clock Company name. It keeps good time and runs well. There is a Master Clockmaker's business card inside the case that verifies the date when the movement was recently cleaned and serviced for excellent operating condition. The mechanism is as clean as it was when it came from Elias Ingraham's factory (see photograph). The lower door glass reverse painting with only minor loss to the gold leaf, is as good as you'll ever find (see close-up photograph). This eight-day, time only wall clock was named THE IONIC by the Ingraham Clock Company and is popular with today's clock-knowlegeable collectors. Some buyers don't care about originality but if you DO, then this is just the ticket for your collection.
