Here is an unmarked powder flask of the pre CIVIL WAR era, probably made by either BATTY, CAPEWELL or MATTHEWMAN. This is a very high quality of manufacture Flask, in material, and workmanship. This is an early flask, suitable for the Colt Baby Dragoon, or other similar caliber revolvers early in the percussion era. Overall length is 4 inches to tip of the spout. The Large Eagle is holding a telescope, pistol, and small flask in his talons. The seams has a fine separation on one side, as shown, and minor dents. The spring is totally functional, and retains a lot of the fire blue color. Flask has beautiful untouched patina finish. This will be great to finish out a cased pistol of the era. LISTED PAGE 337, EXAMPLE#759, in the Riling Book of Flasks. Selling with NO RESERVE, PLease include $12 shipping and insurance.
