Original Early WW2 2nd Type Hawley Fiber Liner L@@K !!! This helmet liner was made between June - November 1942 and is the Second pattern Hawley Fiber Liner. This helmet has never been issued and is in pretty good displayable condition. This helmet shows signs of improper storage...meaning these liners were stacked one on top of the other and pushed together. Over time these liners have cracked in a few places and some of the rivets have pulled through. This particular liner that I am selling has the two cracks, one in the back (very minor) and one in the front side that has split inside out. Also one of the rear rivets have pulled through that holds the sweatband portion of the webbing. When in the helmet pot you can not see the imperfections of this liner, it looks great!!! This is a wonderful addition to any WW2 helmet collection or the serious USMC collector. It would be hard to improve upon this liner unless you are willing to pay in the neighborhood of $500.00. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me before bidding. Thanks for looking and good luck. NOTE: Overseas bidders contact me before bidding.
