Nice original Early Fixed Bale WW2 M-1 M1 Helmet with Firestone Liner. The helmet shows some wear. The Firestone liner is marked A 20. The shell is in decent shape but does have 1 small stress crack and a couple other lines that are not cracked. I have been told that this is a earlier helmet due to the way the Fixed Bales have been attatched. This helmet was bought locally by myself many years ago from a vet that served in the 45th Infantry Division. I also bought a letter that he had written home on A.H. letterhead that he found when he was in Munich. The letter is not for sale, but a copy of photo can be sent to the winning bidder if desired.
