Original Edison Fireside or Gem Red Phonograph Horn 's an original two-piece horn for an Edison Fireside or Gem phonograph, with it's original decal and maroon paint. The maroon paint on these horn was always a problem with adhesion, and it's near impossible to find a perfect horn. T are some worn and flaked areas (see photos), but the original Fireside decal is all t, just a bit faded. T's no metal damage, no significant creasing, no bad dings, etc. T were two types of maroon or red paint for these horns; the translucent candy-apple red (fades in sunlight easily), and a more solid maroon, similar in colour to the Edison Model D and E Gem metal casings. This horn has the more solid maroon paint, and the two pieces easily unscrew from each other (they're supposed to be in two parts). The horn (and a Fireside machine) came from an old local estate about five years ago, and had been with the estate/family since it was first purchased new, and had been placed in storage in 1951 or 1952.
