A beautiful winged, high -back Edwardian armchair, in Queen Anne style. This is not a reproduction chair - it was bought at the Antiques Warehouse in Kingston 13 years ago and is a genuine antique, Edwardian, turn of the century chair. At the time of purchase, it had just been fully reupholstered in blue/stone damask. The blue has faded slightly (but is better for it, in my opinion) and there is slight discolouration to the arms where hands have rested on them but, due to the colour of the fabric, you really can't tell unless you get right up close. There is also a small split in the fabric across one arm (see the last photo), which could be easily repaired if you know what you are doing. Alas, I don't! Otherwise, the fabric is still in great condition. As indeed is the chair itself - it is solid and heavy and structurally very sound. It is only for sale due to a change of decor and a surfeit of armchairs! The cushion pad is a feather one - nice and plumpfy - and the cover is zipped, so easily removable. Dark wood Queen Anne legs/feet at the front and straighter legs at the back. Scrolled arms. The maximum dimensions are 91cms high x 90cms deep x 75cms wide. The linen scatter cushion that you see is not included. You are welcome to view (please send me a message to arrange a mutually convenient time) before bidding. You will need to collect the armchair. Cash upon collection is very much preferred but, if you use a courier service, then you will need to pay by instant bank transfer or cheque. If you pick the latter, it will need to clear prior to collection. If you are insistant upon paying by paypal, I in turn will need online proof of delivery. This is not to make your life difficult, it is simply because I once sold a table to a buyer who paid by paypal, collected in person, then promptly opened an 'item not received' claim and, as I could not provide online proof of delivery (obviously), paypal refunded him in full! I was left with no table and no payment and I refuse to be stung that way again, as I'm sure you can understand ;0) We are based in Camberley, which is between jcts 3 & 4 of the M3, depending on which way you are travelling, and 15 mins drive away from jct 12 of the M25. This cost us £500 when we bought it, so a starting price of £20 is a huge bargain. Until such time as a bid is placed, I am happy to consider any sensible Buy-it-Now offers.... UK buyers can pay in euros by Paypal in any French auctions (and in £'s in the UK auctions, of course) or can pay by UK cheque or do an online transfer directly into my Barclays bank account, the details of which I will provide at the end of the auction. For £ cheques converted from a euros auction I accept the standard current conversion rate of 1 euro = £0.88. All my items are authentic, purchased for my own children. I do not sell fakes; never have, never will. All items come freshly laundered, from a smoke & pet-free home (we do have Colin the Caterpillar staying with us but he doesn’t smoke either) and will arrive carefully wrapped in tissue paper & in a tough mailing sack.
