This Original French Art Deco Desk Set with Beautifully Carved Writing Implements is a real show stopper! This is the kind of Art Deco Style that we are always looking for! Love the chrome square motifs on the wooden base! There are original PERFECT crystal glass inkwells and their perfect glass original liners that we have shown you in the fourth photo. The writing implements are beautifully carved with a floral design. There is a letter opener, pen, and blank base (no initials or monograms on the base, so you can even have your own placed there) seal for wax for closing those envelopes (this is all obviously pre email when people really spent a lot of time writing letters, and had a lot of pride what with their writing desk and what was sitting on it) and are still very popular and widely collected. There are metal (steel?) clamps that tightly hold the pen and letter opener. The bakelite French Art desk perpetual calendar is a free gift to you, not original to the set, but looks perfect with it, which is why we included it as a special freebie to our wonderful Ebay customers!
