Original steel pin for the Grand Opening of the Volkswagen Factory in Germany in 1938. This is an original pin with the following engraved on the front with red enamel filler: GRUNDSTEINLEGUNG DES VOLKSWAGENWERKES MAI 1938

The back has the following engraved: RZ in a double circle; GES. GESCH. 417-0 Pin is in excellent condition, with nice patina and no rust. Pin is 1 ½" wide at base, and 1 1/8" high.
