This invoice is one of the very special unresearched invoices and it also the only one with invoice #3954 that I have. This is a one of a kind item for that reason and you will not see another one like it! This Sam Phillips Recording Studios of Memphis invoiceis one of the rarest invoices in my collection! This is an incredible invoice related to recordings for the Grand Ole Opry's "Keystone" show. The invoiceis for ten 33 1/3 masters catalog numbers SO-1770 to SO 1779. This invoice could be for some famous artist or band at the Grand Ole Opry's "Keystone" show recording in 1964. Finding a record catalog and who the artist is and you could have a major find! The masters were made in Memphis at Sam Phillips Studio and this paticular invoice is worth hundreds of dollars. With that in mind I feel confident to list this at a vary low starting bid with NO RESERVE.

This is a great SUN Record related historical archive that is over 44 years old! What makes this even better, the invoice also bears the carbon signature of Scotty Moore who was Elvis Presleys guitartist when he was with Sun Records. Scotty often worked in the Studio producing and engineering recordings. I showed him these invoices one time and he confirmed they were the real deal and that the signatures were his and not some office personels signature. What struck me most as to how special these invoices are was when Scotty joked on how they did not charge enough back than. In comparison to todays fees he is absolutely right! But what makes these invoices so special, is the unique insight they give of the time and the cost of doing business in music. I may only list this invoice once and if it does not sell it may go back in my collection. So make sure to bid now to get this very special invoice with Starday Records listed as the cllient!

including Lithographs, posters, vintage 1960âe(tm)s record invoices, high quality autographs and other concert and music memorabilia!

This one of the very unique and special SUN Record archives out of my personal collection. In 1996, I helped develop a Blues to Rock museum on Beale Street for Sun Studio in Memphis, TN.

news article about the museum project.

While I worked on this project I encountered and met many of the people who made SUN Records famous including Sam Phillips, Scotty Moore, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Rufus Thomas, Billy Lee Riley, Billy Swan and many more. Some of the items that I have listed are Sam Phillips Studio Invoices from some very significant moments in american music history. I found these as I searched the town of Memphis for SUN Record archives and related items. This is one of the unique treasures I uncovered during this search in Memphis. So make sure that you look at all of my listed items so that you can bid on these special collectibles from the history of SUN Records. I will be more than happy to combine the packaging of items to help save on shipping.
