Please look at my other auctions for other intaglios . Here is 1 Original Antique Grand Tour Cameo - intaglio. These are straight out of a Grand Tour intaglio book. These were popular in Rome in the late 1800s & early 1900s. The casts depict classical sculpture of Greece and Rome as well as architectural details from ancient public buildings. Some casts have taken the subjects of paintings by Titian, Leonardo and other famous artists. Some are portraits of philosophers. Many have taken the themes from Ancient Greek Mythology & portray beautiful figures. These are original and perfect to add to your collection or a wonderful present for the classical antiquity lover!
