Vintage Original 1960’s CIA Vietnam Issue Hackman Knife This Hackman-type was standard CIA Issue during the 1960’s Made in Finland Designed by Tapio Wirkkala designed on the basis of b*****fly knife. The CIA supplied its very own operatives and special units of the Vietnamese Friendlies with these knives during the Vietnam War. Placed in survival kits for CIA field operatives, the nylon-handled ones are sturdy and strong for their weight. The knife was marketed by Hackman as "retkiveitsi", loosely translated as "camping knife". The old name for this knife was "Linkkupuukko" This knife had been made in Sorsakoski in 1970-80`s. From collection of military person. Pins are made from x5CrNi189 ssteel and closing maillot from 18/8 ssteel. Handles are red composite, the blade has unsharpened . VERY SHARP!
