I have something NO one else has and never will unless they purchase it from me. It is a piece of regular notebook paper with Paul Newman's own thoughts in his own hand writting. It was in the early 1980's (I'm thinking 81 or 82) and I was heading to the races at Mid Ohio in Lexington, Ohio. It was late the night before the race and my boyfriend and I ended up staying at an L&K Hotel in the conference room across the hall from none other than Paul Newman himself. (Due to solid booking, it being very late and the clerk feeling very sorry for us) Paul was racing the next day. In the early A.M. as I watched Paul load his car I ran across the hall into his room to see what I might find left behind. In the trash can was a crumpled piece of paper with many hand written notes on it, along with half a telephone message. From most of the contents it appears as if Paul is trying to decide on a name for his salad dressing. Paul writes on one side of the paper: "Hit of the Seasoning" "Ask not what your salad can do for you, ask what you can do for your salad" Theatre Critics "Hit of the Seasoning" and "Get script of Stand on it, possibly to do our opening, becomes mystery driver, daughter of ministers. (not positive about the word ministers, but I think that is what it says). The other side of the paper says: "Pure & Simple, it's just the best
