Up for auction we have a rare original picture of a Jaguar XJS.It is attributed to Mr Doug Thorpe,Chief Stylist on the E Type and Senior Designer on the XJS and XJ40. I aquired this and another picture of an E Type(that is signed by Doug Thorpe)at the same time,and is also for sale on Ebay(See pictures in gallery) There is a limited amount on the internet regarding Mr Thorpe and his work at Jaguar,however I did speak to the learned people at Jaguar Heritage who told me a little about him. Size of picture is 56cm x 38cm,I presume it is in its original wooden frame and would benefit from being reframed. For an Jaguar enthusiast/owner this is obviously a very rare chance to own an original drawing by a very talented man. The opening price is the lowest estimate that Bonhams put on the picture 4 years ago. As I referred earlier THIS PICTURE IS NOT SIGNED BY THE ARTIST,but was aquired at the same time as the E Type picture which he signed Any questions please ask
