I bought this piece by "Jane Hunt" at an online charity auction and view it as quite a find. This is an absolutely magnificent watercolor. When I purchased it, viewing it only through a computer screen, I thought it might be the work of a listed "Jane Hunt." The watercolor itself is 15 inches by 7 inches. The piece is framed and double matted. The hardwood frame measures 20 and 1/2 inches by 12 inches. From the dimensions and look of the frame, it looks as if the frame was created/cut specifically for this watercolor. The glass covering this watercolor appears to be museum quality glass. The piece is ready to hang. I would invite you to look closely at the photographs of this work and the high level of precision of the artist. For those of you who have painted, particularly watercolors, think how difficult it would be to realistically create the Canadian Geese in flight, and then incorporate those geese into the entire package - the landscape and the scenery - so all of it makes sense. The work, in terms of its rhythm and flow, is perfect. What I am referring to is how all the parts - the barn, the trees, the flying geese, and the horizon - work together to create this unified whole. Look at a painting or watercolor painted by an amateur that attempts to incorporate several different parts into a whole, and fails miserably, and read more
