Thisno reserve auction is for an original Lionel 2065 Lumber Car in its original box. Lionel produced the 2065 from 1954 - 1956. This is the type B variation with white heat-stamped numbering. The 2065 Hudson was typically paired with a 2046W or 6026W whistling tender. Again, this listing is for the 2065 engine only. This engine has been around the layout a few times and has been well cared for. It has been tested and operates just fine in forward, neutral and reverse. The headlight operates as well. The body shows some rubs/nicks primarily at high points. It has survived so nicely over the years as a result of being wrapped in original Lionel logo wrapping paper, inside the liner insert inside the original box. The original box is a brick. It includes both end flaps and interior flaps. One tuck flap is missing. That end is taped closed. The insert is complete. The Lionel logo paper shows wear from the engine being wrapped and unwrapped over the years. Rounding out the package is a bottle of SP smoke pellets (about 80% full), an original worn 2035-13 instruction sheet dated 12-55, original 675-33 Smoke Stack Cleaner and original pink 511 inspection slip. Overall, this is a really nice and complete example of the 2065 Hudson locomotive. Please see the photos for additional descriptive detail. All items are carefully packed and typically shipped via USPS priority mail, first class or parcel post within 3 business days after payment clears. I reserve the right to select the shipping method at my discretion.
